There are SSA and SAB versions.I’ve played with the idea that the winter takes forever to loosen its grip even though the sun is doing its best to burn through. This is reflected in asking the singers to shut down the words ’sun’ and ‘comes’ to ’sn’ and ‘cmmes’ so that you are humming on these sounds. It makes a really effective sound but the real release is right at the end when the choir finally get to sing ‘comes’ as an open sound and shuts down right at the end which should make the audience smile/laugh! With special thanks to Adam Saunders for providing the male-voice recording.
