The Half Moon was a 85-foot, square-rigged, three-masted wooden sailing vessel, which carried a crew of 15 to 20 men. Henry Hudson encounter native Indians during his voyage. The Half Moon sailed north to current day Troy NY before returning to Europe with news of the natural resources to be found (though Henry Hudson failed his mission to find a sea route to the orient).
