Publication by Axel Schroter: Heinrich Simbriger (1903-1976). The thematic catalogue offers a complete list, annotated in a detailed manner by the author, of the compositions and writings by the composer and music theoretician H. Simbriger. Simbriger came from Prague German background (he studied with F. Fink, A. von Zemlinsky and others) and after the World War II, he worked mainly in Bavaria. The publication is supplemented with a bilingual foreword (Czech and German) mainly explaining two basic Simbriger's compositional principles: the so called 'technique of sound bands' and the 'complementary harmony'; the foreword also provides information on the origins of the given list as well as biographical details on Simbriger's personality. Thematic catalogue came out in co-operation with the Sudeten-German Music Institute in Regensburg.
