Heart’s Content Polka (Herzenslust Polka), Op. 3 was written in 1844 and first performed in Johann Strauss II’s (1825 – 1899) debut concert in Vienna’s Dommayer’s Casino. The referenced edition was the piano reduction published by Pietro Mechetti in 1845. I hope this arrangement makes this piece more available to performers and listeners alike.
