Hatikvah Hope is a sumptuous and dramatic SATB setting of Israel's national anthem, in its original Hebrew, incorporating a brief and applicable quote from The Star-Spangled Banner. Unified by a potent piano accompaniment, this fusion of anthems is reminiscent of both the political and biblical relationship of Israel and America and is further illustrated in the interaction of the solo instruments: The violin represents America; the viola respresents Israel. This arrangement bears the title Hatikvah Hope for differentiation from the traditional Hatikvah.
