Happy Xmas (war is over) is both a protest song against the Vietnam War and a Christmas song by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. It originated from an advertising campaign against the Vietnam War that the couple launched in 1969 in several major cities around the world. It also follows on from several pacifist anthems already composed by John Lennon, Give Peace a Chance and Imagine.
This arrangement is for Double-Reed Quartet, Oboe 1&2, English Horn and Bassoon. Full score and parts provided, 8 pages score and 4 pages parts. Duration : 4:00.
This arrangement for double-reed quartet can be played in concert or in church, for a holiday concert for example.
