late elementary at least
in general, i like the sound of Tansman's work, but i found these pieces more difficult to play than other works labeled elementary. They are certainly late elementary and some are possibly beyond that. the rhythm and fingerings are the reason they might seem difficult to me. The songs are in C, G, and F major, but have a fair amount of incidentals. The printing of the book i received is a little dark, so fingering numbers are not legible in some places. One nice thing about the publishing is that treble and bass clefs notes are well-aligned to make the rhythms easier to grasp.
