Happy Dance of Praise is our fifth trumpet quartet in the swing style. People are enjoying these little novelty pieces and that makes sense because they are fun to practice, fun to rehearse and fun to perform. Happy Dance of Praise is basically a twenty-four-bar blues with the solo part being passed to each of the parts throughout the composition. The technique/skill level can be tough if you play it at the written tempo (just over 200 bpm), but should sound just as good at a slower tempo if that is necessary. .
