Key signature is wrong
Slight problem with this arrangement.
If you start on "F," that's the 5th scale degree of the key, which would mean the 1st scale degree would be "Bb," the key of the piece. Going back to our elementary music theory days, we all can remember that Bb Major has TWO flats, not one. Mr. Busses wrote in an accidental when he got to the Eb, for some reason, but that is a huge faux pas, it's incorrect to notate music this way. Instead, simply use the correct *key signature.* This is upsetting to see that someone went to the lengths to arrange a tune as simple as Happy Birthday and messed it up, and still PUBLISHED IT! Then, Mr. Busse starts the most iconic birthday song of all time ON THE WRONG BEAT. Happy Birthday does not start on "beat 2." IT STARTS ON BEAT THREE!! This has to be a joke. If Mr. Busse has a degree in music, he needs to hire an attorney and sue the "school" that taught him, especially his theory teacher. Whatever you do, STOP arranging music. You are not educated enough to properly write down the most recognisable piece. Good grief! |
