Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Randy Calistri-Yeh. Hanukkah,Holiday,Jewish. Individual part. 2 pages. Custom Chamber Music #6621413. Published by Custom Chamber Music (A0.722643).

Also spelled as "Oy Chanukkah" or "O Chanukah" (and incorrectly as "Oh Hannukah" or "O Hanukah"), this is a traditional musical favorite for the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. This arrangement is for unaccompanied cello. It starts out slowly, but each section gets faster and faster.

There is also a separate arrangement for violin/cello duet; click the publisher link above.

Mostly a nice arrangement
On the whole, this is a nice arrangement, if you don't mind using open strings a lot. There is, however, one spot that I think is unplayable by normal humans. It's at 1:32 of the audio sample, a jump from first position to (I think) eighth position (thumb on the A and D an octave above the open strings). If you don't mind taking a little break to get there, or take it down an octave (probably; I haven't tried it), I think you will enjoy playing the piece.
