You learn play by playing fun and meaningful music. Uses lots of great songs at a beginner level so you are solid in your various picking patterns before you move on to the next level. This book got me playing and reading tabs in a matter of days, and CD helps a lot. A fun and quickly gratifying way t learn bluegrass banjo basics.
