Rich Melodies for Vocalists and Arrangers
While a dedicated bagpipe collection, this book's 125 Scottish and traditional melodies offer excellent material for vocal students or instrumental arrangers. Tunes like 'Minstrel Boy' have strong, clear voice-leading. While no piano accompaniment is provided, the accessible single-line melodies are easy to adapt for vocal range exploration or to build supportive piano textures from scratch.

Finally, A Bagpipe Book I Can Enjoy!
This collection is fantastic for a casual player like me. I love being able to play so many familiar Scottish and traditional tunes, like 'Danny Boy' and 'Auld Lang Syne.' The 'average piper' difficulty makes it very achievable for weekend playing. The online audio with playback controls helps me learn at my own pace. Pure enjoyment!

Excellent Resource for Developing Pipers
This Hal Leonard collection is superb for students progressing beyond beginner level. The 125 traditional and contemporary tunes, including marches and jigs, offer great rhythmic and melodic practice. The clear notation and inclusion of audio demos with PLAYBACK+ are invaluable for technique and musicality. Highly recommend for 'average' pipers in school or community bands.
