This piano work was brought to the attention of the general public by the jazz rock group "Blood Sweat and Tears," in the early 1970's. It's simple melody is supported by an even more simple background providing some easy listening for your audiences. This work will acquaint your students with music from the Impressionist Period and the teacher should select some traditional paintings to help set the correct mood for this type of work. Also, players must work the ensemble so that a clean rubato interpretation is performed. A Trombone-Substitute for Horn part is included. The first trumpet range has a brief hi A, but all ranges remain in a comforatable level for advanced middle school and young high school players.
