Guillaume Tell
Now this is quite an excellent edtion, with a separate companion booklet to explain the opera. It comes in three volumes and contains all the music written by Rossini. My only complaint is in the reduction of the overture -- the great solo flute part is not written out, and therefore will not be known to anyone playing the score unless they know that it is quite a prominent part of that part of the overture. In most other editions I have of this opera (the famous Italian version) the flute part is written above the piano reduction in smaller notes so that you are well aware it is part of the whole). The editors would do well to add that to this version or edition, especially since it is supposed to be complete, and leaving out that very important detail makes it seem less than complete. The rest of the music Rossini wrote is there, and what a wealth of music he did write. I am not sure one ever sees a performance that contains all of it. I cannot see why, though, as it wouldn't be any longer than Tristan Und Isolde, and we don't usually cut that opera anymore (though it does have cuts indicated by Wagner himself which were used during the times of Traubel and Flagstad). Excellent buy
