This unusual ensemble begins with a standard rendition of the well-known folksong. However, the soft choral-like melody suddenly explodes into a jazz waltz version! Greensleeves but not as you know it - certainly something a little bit different for any concert!
Dit arrangement begint met de aloude Greensleeves-melodie, uitgevoerd in een rustige koraalstijl en grotendeels ritmisch gelijk in de stemmen onderling. De algehele indruk van dit arrangement moet soepel en vloeiend zijn, maardan wel met een voorwaartse beweging en drive. Hoewel het volume nergens overheersend en luid mag zijn, neemt de dynamiek aan het slot toe. Een interessant arrangement!
