Good Collection
These pieces are a delight to play. The arrangements are pleasing to the ear and not too difficult to learn. There's a nice mix of old and new.

Fresh and Fun
I really enjoyed these arrangements. This was my new book for 2020. I didn't even get out the old books.

Christmas Music With A Flair
I have Dan Coates' book Simply Christmas, and it is a straight forward, easy arrangements of many Christmas songs. This book is the next notch up in difficulty from that book. The arrangements are similar but involve more 3 fingered chords and a little more variation in the tune. It is a fun book to tackle and rewarding to master.

Great Choice too!
If you're traveling for the holidays and you can only take one piano book, choose this one! This book has all the songs you'll need, carols, fun sing along songs, nice full sound without being too difficult...especially enjoy Deck the Halls --ala Mozart, makes me smile every time I play it...songs are what you expect to hear, I mean all the fun notes you hear in the songs on the radio...

Not worth it
I purchased this music for myself. I wanted to learn some Christmas music this year, that challenged me but didn't take a ton of time to learn. Well, I can sightread all these songs because they are such boring arrangements. I purchased the music online, so I couldn't see all of what I was buying and it sounded like it was challenging but easy to learn, but once I started playing them I realized the mistake I had made. In the first two songs, he write a crescendo on a sustained note. Please tell me how I am supposed to do that on the piano. After that, the music just seemed boring, there were not any interesting chords or harmonies and I lost interest after about three songs. Save yourself the money.

Great Piano Christmas Hits
Dan Coates' late intermediate arrangements of 20 of my Christmas favourites are delightful. I enjoyed playing the book from cover to cover. His colourful harmonies and full rich chords are very satisfying to play. The collection includes technical challenges for all levels of intermediate players, and make excellent sight reading for advanced pianists. It's a book I'm very pleased to have in my Christmas music collection to enjoy year after year.

Great Piano Christmas Hits
This was just what I wanted. I'm 77 years old and needed music that wasn't too hard, but yet challenged me a little. I'm enjoying playing the Dan Coates arrangements in the book, and I've purchased another one for a family member.

Great Piano christmas Hits
Magical - just like the Christmas time of year! Simple enough for a quick start and lively enough to be audience-impressive. Love it!

Great Piano Christmas Hits
I'm definitely enjoying playing these songs. They are written beautifully. Keeping the original sound yet adding original touches here & there. Not too hard, not too easy.

Great Piano Christmas Hits
The arrangements are lovely. The moving chords in certain sections presented a challenge for my small hands. Practice time was needed for those. I concentrated on Deck the Halls (a la Mozart) and Silent Night this season. The harmony in Silent Night is lush. When I finished playing it at my lesson, I suddenly realized my teacher's cat had joined me on the piano bench. She liked it too!

Rate like you MEAN IT!
OK! Don't give it FIVE STARS and then start complaining, oh Silent Night doesn't sound like it, or Dan Coates is no good. Like, come on? If you feel that way, give him ONE STAR OK! If you don't like it, don't buy it! Don't waste your time buying something you know you're not going to like, only so that you can come on here and give reviews that are pointless! OK! Now on to my review. Well it sounds great to me! Dan Coates, you're the BEST i'm gonna give you 1 STAR (no wait, that would be wrong now would it!). 5 stars, and I actually mean it! See, when you rate something 5 stars, that means there's nothing to complain about right?

Great Piano Christmas Hits
Beautiful, expressive Christms music to play as background music. We have friends over at Christmastime and enjoy playing and singing Christmas music. However, I enjoy these arrangements just for meditation, listening, and creating an atmosphere of PEACE. Yes, this is an excellent and enjoyable book of Holiday Hits.

Christmas Titles with no Christmas Sound!
Dan Coates never did good arrangements. Took a gamble with the price and thought he had changed. I mean Silent Night doesn't even sound like it. Wish I could return it. Went through other songs, begging for something that sounds like the melody of Christmas..stay away from this and the poor arranger feeding off the masses, Dan Coates.
