Gordon Carr studied at the Royal Academy of Music under Barry Tuckwell and has since played with all the major London orchestras, also performing as a soloist both in Britain and abroad. For twenty-five years he has taught at London's Centre for Young Musicians, and is Professor of Horn at Trinity College of Music. In addition to his many works for brass, he has written for voices chamber ensembles, wind band and orchestra.
