This work, which the composer dedicated to the "Armin Rosin Trio" shortly after its founding, revisits classical trio form with piano in exploiting the specific resources of this new instrumental formation (this first movement is conceived in sonata form), adding modern rhythms and lively musical motifs. Thus we go directly from the Ländler (Scherzo) to a Blues (3rd movement) and then to a Boogie (Rondo), all based on a symphonic concept of sound.
