Graf Zeppelin by Piet J. Molenaar Concert Band - Sheet Music

By Piet J. Molenaar

The popular German march music composer Carl Teike (1864-1922), author of the world famos Old Comrades, wrote this thrilling march shortly after the record flight made by the aeronaut Count Zeppelin. In 1900 Ferdinand von Zeppelin (1838-1917) put an end to his career as an officer in the army, to devote all his time to the construction of dirigibles (named Zeppelins after their constructor). In 1929 the dirigible Graf Zeppelin flew around the world in twelve days.Instrumentation1 Condensed Score1 Piccolo8 Flute2 Oboe2 Bassoon1 Clarinet Eb8 Clarinet Solo + I4 Clarinet II4 Clarinet III1 Soprano Saxophone4 Alto Saxophone2 Tenor Saxophone1 Baritone Saxophone1 Flugelhorn Eb3 Bugel Solo + I2 Flugelhorn II1 Flugelhorn III2 Cornet I2 Cornet II2 Trumpet I2 Trumpet II1 Horn I Eb1 Horn I F2 Horn II + IV Eb2 Horn II + IV F1 Horn III Eb1 Horn III F1 Tenorhorn I1 Tenorhorn II2 Trombone I C1 Trombone I Bb (TC)1 Trombone I Bb (BC)2 Trombone II C1 Trombone II Bb (TC)1 Trombone II Bb (BC)2 Trombone III C1 Trombone III Bb (TC)1 Trombone III Bb (BC)2 Baritone C2 Baritone Bb (BC)4 Baritone Bb (TC)2 Bas Bb (TC)2 Bas Bb (BC)2 Bas Eb (TC)2 Bas Eb (BC)4 Tuba C3 Percussion
