This song is tricky to arrange for a duo; it is challenging to incorporate the melody, bass line and ostinato with only 2 voices. I maintained the iconic sixteenth note ostinato whenever possible (mostly in the Violin part), and fleshed out the melody with the bass line in the viola part when appropriate. Both instruments get a chance at the melody with the viola on melody significantly more often than is usual in a violin/viola duet. Measure numbers, rehearsal letters and bowings provided for ease of sight-reading and performing at a gig.
