A simple arrangement in g minor for two flutes or two alto recorders, combining God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen, and Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence. The arrangement is intentionally open-sounding and modal, and includes polyphony and interesting dissonance. This piece is most appropriate for use during Advent or Christmas. Range is one octave, from G above middle C to the G above the staff. This should be accessible to early intermediate players but it was written for church use for adults.
