This arrangement of the Zingarelli motet for mixed chorus is effectively transcribed for handbells and optional handchimes by Martha Lynn Thompson. The slow, somber opening section in F minor is very effective when rung entirely on handchimes. At measure 22 the key changes to F major, the tempo changes to "Allegro guisto," and if handchimes were used for the opening section, the handbells are used from here to the end of the piece. To aid in interpretation of the music, the choral text is provided on page 8.
