This exceptional 6-minute Easter musical drama is the perfect alternative to longer cantatas. A tightly woven tapestry of scriptural narrative, traditional hymns, and carols tells the Easter story -- from the arrival of the women at the tomb on Easter dawn to Jesus' appearance to His disciples. The triumphant final chorus, "Praise to the Risen Christ!" features lyrics by Douglas Wagner, ingeniously sung to the hymn tune, Lasst uns erfreuen (All Creatures of Our God and King). An orchestrated accompaniment is available, as well as a performance/accompaniment CD.

Glory to the Risen King!
This is a very nice minimusical. The melodies are familiar, yet musical. Llanfair is uplifting, and Lasst Uns Erfreuen is a favorite from R. Vaughan Williams. The piano accompaniment is very nice. The interludes contain When Jesus Wept and My Shepherd Will Supply My Need. I would recommend this to any intermediate church choir.

Glory to the Risen King!
A very nice setting of Easter hymns. Fresh new settings, and a relaxed atmosphere with readings between hymns. Some tunes are a little advanced, but with only a few rehearsals, most choirs could sing them nicely. Piano accompaniment is a nice display of some hymns, like When Jesus Wept and My Shepherd Will Supply My Need. Excellent setting!
