SKU: A0.1885918

Composed by Owen Costa. This edition: pdf. 21st Century, Contemporary. Score and part. 6 pages. Owen Costa #1444599. Published by Owen Costa (A0.1885918).

Written in my sophomore year of high school (2024) for a music theory final, "Giganteum" is a piece for solo horn and piano. The title comes from the Sequoiadendron Giganteum, or Giant Sequoia, which was my favorite tree at the time. Nothing about this piece screams "tree!" but it's a mix of musical ideas that I felt represented the unpredictable nature of the beast. After some editing, I thought it was time to share the piece in 2026.

As always, if you would like to read and/or perform this piece but are unable (or don't want) to pay the minimum $5.99 fee, please feel free to email me at [email protected].

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
