Gazebo Portraits Concert Band - Sheet Music

The title of this work should conjure up a Saturday afternoon band concert in the park in the early 1900s. Commissioned by the Hot Springs Community Band, Gazebo Portraits was composed in the fall of 2003 and recreates the mood, the sounds and the excitement of these outdoor concerts from years gone by. The music salutes the continuation of these concerts by bands throughout the United States today. The three movements include "Promenade", "Love Song", and finally, "Waltz". Dedicated to Harvey McIntyre, president of the Hot Springs Community Band, Gazebo Portraits was premiered at the Association of Concert Bands Convention in May of 2004 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Dr. Craig Hamilton, conductor.
