This arrangment is great for students who have been playing for several months or so, and who know the letter names of the keys, but who do not know much (or any) staff notation yet. This arrangment will challenge them to play both white keys and black keys, introducing them to the concept of sharps, to include dyanmics, including crescendos and decrescendos, to cross over hands, and to perform ritardandi and fermatas. This classic piece is a favorite, and a very common request from students of all levels, so this arrangment makes it accessible to students who are only at the pre-reading level.
