This song is dedicated to my student, Kitty B. Thank you for the inspiration.
The lyrics of the piece describe a harrowing scene of aliens coming down to raid candy stores and take all our candy: “Funny little Aliens are coming down from outer space to take over and invade all our candy shops! One by one, they come down to try and find the best place to get their fill of sweets and treats to take them all! Chocolate bars and gummy bears, and gumdrops, suckers, jawbreakers, oh! Piece by piece they take our sweets and they leave nothing left! Funny little Aliens are coming down from outer space to take over and invade all our favorite little candy shops!”
There are four versions of the song you can use with students:
- Version 1 with regular note heads and flat accidentals
- Version 2 with note names in the note heads and flat accidentals
- Version 3 with regular note heads and a C Minor key signature.
- Version 4 with note names in the heads and a C minor key signature
