Fruehlingsrauschen, Op. 32/3 (Rustle of Spring) Concert Band - Sheet Music

Christian Sinding (1856-1941) was a Norwegian composer considered to be the successor to Edvard Grieg, although more in international standing than style as Sinding found his musical influences in Wagner and Liszt rather than in his fellow countryman. As his publisher required piano and chamber music from the composer, he became very well-known for music of that sort, of which he wrote many. The most famous of his works was a short piano piece called Frühlingsrauschen (Rustle of Spring), which he wrote in 1896 as the third selection in his collection 6 Stücke, Op. 32. This arrangement for a small theater orchestra of that piece was completed by Theodore Moses Tobani in 1908.
