FROST was inspired by my memories of growing up in Kansas and the cold Winters. I no longer reside in that state, but I often miss the beautiful Winters as I now live in the warm state of California. The music is somewhat minimalistic in nature, as it contains repeated driving-rhythms. All of the thematic material is derived from the 8-note motive that is continuously heard throughout the work. Level: grade 3.5. Duration: About 2 minutes, 30 seconds.
