The student will not actually read the "Student Part." It is written on an upper staff, so the teacher can simply demonstrate how to play the alternating 2 keys (using both left and right hand index fingers) on the keyboard. The student will imitate what the teacher does. It doesn’t matter whether the student begins with left hand or right hand. Keeping a steady beat is helpful, but even that is not of great concern. The teacher should just be sure to maintain enthusiasm that will inspire the new learner!
