It was composed spontaneously one very early morning after I recovered from a bout of gastro flu and felt very refreshed. It was about 2:30am (SG Time +8GMT) and as I sat in my comfy seat facing the TV and piano in my studio, this little melody wafted into my consiousness and instead of watching something on TV I began playing the melody on the piano, adding the harmony and the process of developing this initial 4 bar tune into a song began. Sometimes in the still of the early morning our minds are free and the process of creation simply manifests itself without any impetus or forethought. I praise the Lord for these bits of inspiration that always bring meaning to my life. Boni de Souza.
