Italian composer Franceso Paolo Tosti (1846-1916) wrote more than 350 songs, among which were favorites of famous singers, from Caruso and Tetrazzini in his day to Pavarotti and Carreras in ours. With a direct and simple grace and sensual Italianate vocal lines, his works were in some ways an art music reply to the Neapolitan folk tradition. Low voice?
I was hoping for some easy, comfortable songs to sing. I was really surprised when I received the product because the keys are for baritones. Even the recordings mentioned in the book show that basses don't sing in the keys presented. I am a bit disappointed, honestly. I wouldn't buy it if I knew that it's medium voice.Best regards,Michal

We NEVER received this product... it was back-ordered all the way to the publisher! After almost six months, i cancelled the order.... It is NOT the fault of this site... but the publisher!

Beautiful Italian Songs
This is the only collection Tosti songs currently available for low voice. The songs are beautiful but fairly difficult. This collection is highly recommended for the advanced amateur or serious vocal student. The only shortcomings of this collection are: The binding is too stiff. An office services store can cut off the spine and spiral bind it, which makes it much easier to use.Although this is called a low voice collection, in some songs the tessitura is too high for comfortable singing by most basses and altos.The production quality is uneven. Some of the songs are older editions with smaller notes and fuzzy text.
