In spring, I watch the peach blossoms and butterflies dancing among them.
In summer, I lean against the waterfront pavilion and bathe in the fragrance of lotus blooms.
In autumn, the crickets are chirping to praise the red leaves.
In winter, snow falls, and only the plum blossoms bloom alone.

I spent many days and nights, forgetting meals and sleep, crafting the lyrics and sheet music for this folk song, hoping to entertain myself at a birthday banquet to which no other guests would attend. Of course, musical masters like Wang Yujia, Lang Lang, Li Yundi, and Yo-Yo Ma wouldn't perform their masterpieces for an unknown person like me. They may not have even heard of my song. But one day it will be discovered that its phrasing is smooth, its rhythmic patterns vivid, and its melodiousness is noinferior to that of Chopin, Bach, or Tchaikovsky's piano pieces; perhaps mine even possesses a slightly more concise and superior quality. In truth, time waits for no one; one day, they too will be old and unable to play the piano/cello, and at that time, my song can reversely be used to celebrate their birthdays. That would be called "Life is short, art is eternal." If this piece can also be used to celebrate the birthdays of elders, fellow villagers, and humble younger generations, wouldn't that be delightful?
