This set consists of four pieces somewhat connected loosely: Summer Fantasy, Autumn Breeze, Winter Nocturne and Spring Dance.
Summer has jazzy elements in rhythm and harmonies. The Autumn Breeze starts with the first 3 notes of the famous "Autumn Leaves", to be played with extreme rubato depicting breeze. Winter Nocturne is Chopin-like in nature (one hopes). Spring Dance alludes to many "spring" themes from Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Vivaldi, with much "distortion" to the meter, rhythm and harmonies, and a reference to a Japanese anime tune.
