FOR YOUR EYES ONLY was released in 1981 and was the 5th outing for Roger Moore in the title role. Some argue that it had the best - or most plausible - story of all the Moore Bond's, as well as the best action sequences. These sequences include a thrilling ski chase, an edge of your seat mountain climb and a bizarrely brillaint car chase in a Citroën Diane 2CV. It was a departure from the Hi-Tech scenarios of The Spy who loved me (with the very cool Lotus Esprit doubling as a submarine) nor Moonraker (with the armada of weaponised space shuttles with a crack brigade of laser gun armed troops ready to lauch to overcome the evil Drac!). It represented an island of (probably quite welcome) normality, a sorbet, in a growing list of outlandish Bond plotlines .... culminating in the invisible car .....

Even for anyone who didn't like Moore's portrayal of Bond, it can be argued that this one is his best even though he was already in his mid 50's.

On matters musical, Sheena Easton sang a truly wonderful theme song with her powerful and beautiful Scottish pop vocal, with the vocalist actually making a very rare appearance in the sultry Maurice Binder opening credits.

This arrangement follows the structure and key of the original soundtrack and evokes a fuller, more symphonic version of this truly great Bond song. The Youtube link with scrolling score below is representative of the chart you are buying.
