Fontane di Roma is de eerste Suite uit de Romeinse Trilogie van Ottorino Respighi. In deze suite worden de fonteinen van Rome muzikaal uitgebeeld. La Fontana di Valle Giullia all’alba is een muzikale beschrijving van deze fonteinen tijdens het ochtendgloren. In La fontana di Tritone al Mattino horen we het scherpe zonlicht van de ochtend. In La Fontana di Trevi al Meriggio verwijzen de koperfanfares naar de kracht van de Trevifontein en in La Fontana di Villa Medici al Tramonto wordt deze bescheiden fontein beschreven tijdens de zonsondergang.

Fontane di Roma is the first suite from Respighi’s Roman Trilogy. In this suite the fountains of Rome are musically depicted. La Fontana di Valle Giullia all’alba is a musical image of these fountains during sunrise. In La fontana di Tritone al Mattino we can here the sharp light of the sun in the morning. In In La Fontana di Trevi al Meriggio the brass fanfare refers to the power of the Trevi fontain and La Fontana di Villa Medici al Tramonto describes this humble fountain during sunset.

Fontane di Roma est la première Suite de la Trilogie Romaine de Ottorino Respighi. Dans cette suite les fontaines de Rome sont dépeintes musicalement. La Fontana di Valle Giullia all’alba est une description musicale de ces fontaines à l’aube. Dans Fontana di Tritone al Mattino on entend la lumière vive du soleil du matin. Dans Fontana di Trevi al Meriggio les fanfares de cuivres réfèrent à la puissance de la fontaine de Trevi et dans La Fontana di Villa Medici al Tramonto cette fontaine modeste est décrite au coucher du soleil.
