Percy Eastman Fletcher's (1879-1932) work for string orchestra, FOLK TUNES AND FIDDLE DANCES, was composed in 1914. Instrumentation: Str (8-8-5/5-5-5 in set; CB opt.): Pno (opt.). A violin 3 part is included to substitute for viola if necessary, and the contrabass part is listed as optional. A full score is included, but a piano-conductor score is also in the set should the strings sections have holes where the piano would help.
