"Flor de Lis" is one of the greatest classics of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), released by singer-songwriter Djavan in 1976 on his debut album, A Voz, o Violão, a Música de Djavan. The song is frequently associated with an internet rumor claiming that the lyrics are a tribute to his wife and daughter who died in childbirth. The singer has publicly denied this story, confirming that the song metaphorically deals with the end of a romantic relationship and a plea for forgiveness after a mistake.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
