    Good choice for flexible group

Stumbled across this series when my friend the horn player brought them to rehearsal. We have formed an instrumental group for church, intending to perform at services several times a year. Folks merge in and out, and it's become clear that the concert or school band repertoire will not work for us. For our most recent outing, we had: 3 violins, one each alto, trombone, horn, clarinet, tuba, and piano. No percussion, no trumpets. This time it was all adults; a couple of years back, we had several youth. These books are perfect for this sort of group, since there are only four parts. We can trade off or double up.
