The track was included on the 1959 studio album "Kind of Blue" from Columbia Records featuring saxophonists Cannonball Adderley and John Coltrane, pianist Bill Evans, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Jimmy Cobb. Arguably one of the greatest jazz albums ever recorded, this arrangement of Flamenco Sketches stays close to the original, save for the use of wind instruments in place of the piano. This level 3-4 arrangement uses two trumpets in Bb, tenor and baritone saxes, and string bass. It may appeal to many jazz fans, especially those of Miles Davis's early catalog. Rhythmically this piece can be challenging, although experienced jazz musicians would know how to phrase lines accordingly.
