    My Most Used Book for Hymn Singing

    I love this book because it includes the hymn tune in its usual key/arrangement followed by a building transition and modulation into a higher key with an alternate harmonization. My congregation sings out and is inspired whenever I use this book. Because I am a music dependent player I love how this book has everything done for me. Using a book that only has an alternate harmonization means I have to come up with a transition which is often bland. I love this book! Can't wait til the 2nd volume comes out.

    A disappointing purchase

    The harmonies in this book are bland, and so close to the original that it fails to add anything new. I recommend instead 400 Last Verses by Noel Rawsthorne isbn 978-84417-716-5
