Feliz Navidad by Clay Walker Woodwind Duet - Digital Sheet Music

By Clay Walker

Feliz Navidad

Feliz Navidad is arranged as a duet for one Soprano Saxophone and one Clarinet. Feliz Navidad was written in 1970 by Jose Feliciano. Feliciano was working in California and missing his family back in New York and Puerto Rico, so he wrote and recorded Feliz Navidad in a matter of minutes. While a small hit at the time, it wasn’t until after 2000 that the song became the huge Christmas favourite it is today. This version is faithful to the original. Musicians at an early intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal Christmas performances. The melody is simple but there are the syncopated rhythms one would expect in a Latin style song. The overall performance time is around two minutes. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with Latin rhythms and articulation, and this song is always popular with all audiences at Christmas.Click the YouTube link to hear and see a full recording of the Alto Saxophone version of this arrangement. There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203
