Loome Laute Bord, The Man from the Other Side in Canuck, the native language of writer Jack Kerouac, transcribes into music the multiple facets of personality that torment the author and about which he confides in his work On the Way. These different interpretations of reality are symbolized by the use of different modalities and rhythms on the same melodic material that runs through the four guitars, in a minimalist work evoking the language of Steve Reich.
The work was premiered in 2021 at the Théâtre des Bains Douches in Elbeuf by the Asterion Quartet.
