This rollicking sea chanty from Disney’s popular “The Little Mermaid” is based on the opening sequences of both the original movie and the live Broadway show.
This arrangement for advanced intermediate players (grade 3.5) features the string section of the orchestra and was designed to be a complete piece by itself. Additional instrumentation (percussion and rhythm) can be included in any combination to enhance the performance by adding rich color, greater energy, and drive. Finally, early intermediate string players can be added with parts that feature only the melody. The end-result is a highly flexible orchestration that can be used in almost any application or ensemble size.
