Composed by Eoin Buchanan. Concert,Contemporary. Individual part. 3 pages. 7plc Music #6217635. Published by 7plc Music (A0.1017091).Killhope Burn is a stream in County Durham, which is a tributary of the River Wear. The burn is 13 km long, and formed from a number of small streams draining off Slate Hill, Killhope Moor, Knoutberry Hill, near the county borders with Cumbria, Northumberland and County Durham. The Burn flows roughly south-eastwards down stone falls, meandering around the plantation at Killhope Lead Mine museum and then onwards past our cottage into Cowshill and finally Wearhead.
This work seeks to describe that tumbling, meandering, rushing journey until peace reigns at the end as the burn finds its resting place in the Wear.
