Op. 3. Composed by Edmond Stenosse. Edited by Edmund Wachter; Elisabeth Weinzierl. This edition: Sheet music. (c) 2020 Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz. Classical. Score. Op. 3. 21 pages. Schott Music - Digital #Q53384. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q53384).
English • German.
Little is known about Edmond Sténosse beyond his date of birth: 7 April 1839. Between 1875 and the early 1900s about twenty works by Edmond Sténosse appeared in print, most of them for the flute and some of them published by Schott. Some of his compositions are military music, which suggests that he may have been the same flautist ‘M. (Monsieur) Sténosse’ who made recordings as a member of the French Garde républicaine in about 1910 – or that the two may have been father and son, considering the dates involved. Plate no. 1110 / published in 1876.
