Fanfare Nueve, een eigentijds werk van de hand van de Amerikaanse componist John Fannin, is gebaseerd op de groove van Dave Brubeck’s jazzklassieker Blue Rondo la Turk. In de baslijn worden elementen van een bluestoonladderaangestipt, maar het werk is bovenal een levendige Spaanse fanfare waar muzikanten beslist veel speelplezier aan zullen beleven.
