Memories of those who have left us don't always have to be sorrowful. Composer Andrew Boysen celebrates the happiness and joy found in life with the exuberant Fanfare: In Memoriam. Mr. Boysen honors the life of high school student Jason Rundel, who passed in 2001. The piece sets out to celebrate Jason's memory with quotations from scouting songs and features his instrument, Alto Sax, with the only solo in the piece.
