Fanfare and Interlude is an energetic fanfare made up of triads, scales, and arpeggios in very basic Classical form. It is in the Key of C major with a C minor section. This piece is excellent for studying different articulations, contrasting between detached, staccato, and slurred. The majestic nature of the piece makes it a great recital performance that sounds very professional when all put together. 2 page score, 2:13 minutes Also on this site is a shorter and more basic version which omits the minor key section (and all of the accidental notes:) It is published under the name Soldier's Fanfare. 2 pages, 1:20 minutes.
