I enjoy hearing my son play this song every time he practices his lessons. It is very melodic with lovely chords -

Fanfare is one of a group of pieces written by Deborah Swanger Fortier that provide an excellent vehicle for transitioning an elementary piano student to the intermediate level. Fanfare starts with both hands in the center of the keyboard, which provides an anchor for the beginning student. Taught within this group of pieces are elements such as dotted rhythm, double bar and first and second ending, ritard, dynamics, sixteenth notes, ledger line notes, ties, thumb under hand to change position, broken chords and repeated notes. Others to look at are Mockingbird, Falling Tears, Song of the Seasons, Celestial Waltz and Margaret's Fancy. I highly recommend these highly tunefull and musical pieces.
